George is responsible for monitoring risk for Onex’ private wealth management operations. In addition, he is responsible with overseeing risk management at Onex Credit including measuring and monitoring risk across the various product offerings. George is a Portfolio Manager of the Onex High Yield Bond Fund (Canada) and the Onex Senior Credit Fund (Canada).
Before joining the firm in 2010, George worked at Goldman Sachs in London as an Executive Director in the Interest Rate Products group, managing rate and volatility risk across the various European interest rate curves. He also worked in the energy industry, structuring electricity and gas derivative transactions for the North American markets. Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company.
George is a registered Portfolio Manager and Commodity Trading Manager of Onex Canada Asset Management Inc. He holds an MBA from Stanford University (Arjay Miller Scholar and Alexander A. Robichek Award recipient) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Astrophysics from Harvard University (Summa Cum Laude).
George serves as Chair of the Board at Team Rubicon Canada.
